Brooke Zorland is the co-owner of the Shook Color Bar, that also operates behind the chair. Her passion lies in cutting and creating beautiful custom colors, tailoring each look to meet the needs of the individual client. Setting the bar high, Brooke strives to make each client happy. Brooke found her calling at a young age, all the Barbies within reach got new hairstyles. Entering cosmetology school in 2007 as a high school junior, she had the focus and drive, Brooke was determined to one day own a salon. Brooke and Shey have let the cream rise to the top as we gathered the perfect team for the salon, Brooke is confident you will love Shook Color Bar as much as she does.
Shey Gourley is the co-owner of the Shook Color Bar. He is a stylist and image consultant specializing in hair, hair color, hair care and with style. Shey is setting the standard among Tampa Bay's fashion elite, impressing the industry with his eye for cutting edge styles. Shey possesses the ability to mix colors, looks and trends to astounding effects. Shey's rise to being a well-recognized hair stylist saw him study in Clearwater while obtaining his Florida License. A Redken master class graduate, he builds his passion and desire for fashion hair. With his move in to self-employment, Shey built relationships working alongside leading Hair PR's. These media skills have given him the added bonus of not just being a stylist, but an expertise to build and raise his clients profile within style and to foster an awareness of his client's style. Shey has gone on to teach many of the classes who made him who he is today. Combining his style with the incomparable Brooke Zorland, they created Shook Color Bar. Shey has received recognition within the industry with his knowledge of color and color corrections. Shey also does Lox extensions for the client that is in the market for length and or fullness. Whether he is teaching another stylist or working with his clients the knowledge he brings is invaluable. As Shey continues to build relationships with his clients, PR's and the media – the Hair world awaits his next 'moment' with anticipation.
Say hello to your nails new best friend! Welcoming to the Shook team is our amazing nail tech Kim! With a passion for all things nails from the young age of 13, Kim took her love of artistic creativity and decided to turn it into a successful career. Beginning in 2009, she owned and operated a nail blog “College Polished”. The blog provided tutorials and reviews for every day girls who wanted something MORE than just your typical nail color. Kim wanted to take her skills a step further and graduated from American Institute of Beauty in 2013 with honors. Kim is extremely passionate about her work. The quality of her services, sanitation and educating her clients about their services are top priorities when it comes to her work. She is always up to date on the hottest nail trends and specializes in CND and Light Elegance nail products, as well as sculptured acrylic/hard gel sets, hand painted nail art and relaxing pedicures. In addition to working at Shook, Kim also operates a mobile nail service where she travels around the tri-county area providing in home services to new moms, wine night nail parties and generally anyone who enjoys the comfort of their home. She also travels to area nursing homes and provides services for the elderly to keep their hands and feet in healthy condition.
Kate Couzins has been in the beauty industry since 2007. Her love for fashion and making people feel beautiful has been her passion since a young age. Prior to becoming licensed hair stylist, she co-owned a tanning spa with her sister in Orlando. While gaining experience of owning and operating her spa, she further pursued her career to become a licensed hair stylist in 2012. From suffering with thin hair, herself, Kate mastered the art of hair extensions and specializes in tape and bead extensions. She enjoys keeping clients up to date with today’s new coloring techniques such as Balayage and Ombré.
For over 12 years Shannon has been helping her clients reach their hair goals by listening to their wants and needs while keeping their hair healthy. An artist at heart, Shannon can do it all. Want something fun or trendy, like vivid hair colors, a romantic up do or a perfectly blended Balayage, Shannon takes pride in every project she takes on. She loves to learn all the new and trendy styles. She trained under the direction of Master Stylist David Steiner of the Scruples Education team. Shannon is a graduate of the Dunedin High School Cosmetology program. Shannon loves to make her clients sparkle and shine. She also enjoys working at music festivals doing hair. Shannon is available Tuesday-Saturday at Shook Color Bar in Dunedin.
Born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, Niccole Swan has the flair for hair. Her love for fashion and design runs through to the very core of her heart. Nothing short of excellence is what Niccole continuously strives for. Her 8 years in the beauty industry has taught her many things, but none more so than that hairstyle and makeup is an art and her clients are her canvas. Fresh, flawless and beautiful is what you would expect as she completes her masterpiece. She comes with 4 years of industry experience which has taught her a vast amount of product knowledge. Her connections with top vendors has provided her with a wide range of product options, and she only recommends and uses the best. Her eagerness to continuously take classes on fashion has made her one of the many subject matter experts at Shook Color Bar. If she isn’t styling a masterpiece, or simply brightening someone’s day, she’s staying up to date with all the latest fashions and trends.
As an industry professional since 2000, Kim's passion lies in creating gorgeous looks for her guests by bringing their hair to life through color. Her work strikes the ideal balance between wearable color and current creative trends. Kim believes continuing education is key to be able to grow as an artist. She has earned certificates by top professional brands such as Toni & Guy, L'Oreal, Redken, and Pravana. She is always excited to learn the most current techniques, trends, and products so that she can provide exceptional service to her guests, but most of all to enhance their beauty while keeping the integrity of the hair. Every guest will leave comfortably knowing they have the education and tools to re-create their personalized look at home.
Michael Georgianni is a fearless master colorist and stylist. He is a well-known instructor in the industry, teaching at Tech Italy in Miami for 2 years, and continues to teach Balayage and Ombré hair coloring techniques to new and seasoned stylist alike for PamCo. Michael caters to all clients from women’s natural beautiful style and color, men’s Barbering and children styles, meeting every family member’s hair care needs. Being a Stylist is Michael’s passion; he has dedicated 16 years to making his clients beautiful. Michael is available Tuesday – Thursday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
